Brockham continued their excellent run with another victory at the Big Field, keeping them in 4th position with games in hand. The home team started brightly, pressuring Elm Grove and pinning them back in their own half. Harrison Watts and Conan Torpey both hit the woodwork and it looked like it was going to be a frustrating day for Brockham. Watts worked hard down the right hand side and game the Elm Grove left back tough job. Just before half time a well weighted cross by Watts was met by Ed Russ whose shot was parried by the keeper but Joe Rabbetts followed up, as per the managers instructions, gaving the home team a 1-0 lead.
Elm Grove came out in the second half far more aggressively and started to pass the ball around The Badgers. Within 10 minutes Elm Grove got the equaliser that they were after and if it were not for some fine stops by Huw Morgan The Badgers would have found themselves trailing. Brockham regained their shape and with his weaker foot Russ restored the lead. With a minute left The Badgers won a corner in the same place as the previous week and Russ and Rabbetts decided to execute the same plan. Russ delivered the corner to the back post where Rabbetts ran on to finish with his head and put the game beyond Elm Grove’s reach.
